10 Insane Supervillain Schemes You Won't Believe
1. Peter Parker's Robot Parents
Parents tend to be an important part of most superheroes lives - especially in the case of heroes who were motivated to take up the cape and spandex due to the loss of their parents. As such, it is as smart as it is evil for Green Goblin to have hit Spider-Man where it truly hurts, having Chameleon make two practically perfect robotic replicas of Peter Parkers' mother and father - all for the sole aim of watching the hero break when he found out they were not his real parents.
The worst part is that this plan would have been almost impossible to predict, as at this point in the canon the Green Goblin - Harry Osborne - had died, and so both Parker and reader alike weren't expecting such a brutal plot to have been arranged by what was thought at the time to be a dead man.
In a crazy chain of events, this ends up achieving Goblin's goal, in that for a good while, it completely destroys Parker's moral compass, with it being strongly implied the only reason he doesn't kill Chameleon being how pathetic the villain's begging is.
As far as plans go, if you manage to ruin your nemesis' life from beyond the grave, you've done an impressive - if absolutely insane - job.
