In the six-part story, Sins of the Father, we learn that Peter Parker's lover, Gwen Stacy, had sex with the Green Goblin and gave birth to twins. Since Norman Osborn's DNA was mutated by the Goblin serum, this caused the twins, Gabe and Sarah, to age three or four times faster than normal.

Although they are only kids when Spider-Man learns of their existence, Gwen's children have the bodies of teenagers.

This story may be common knowledge between Marvel fans, but few realised that it had a sequel that was just as controversial.

In the follow-up, Sins Remembered, Sarah asks for Peter Parker to find Gabe, who has gone missing. But Sarah has an ulterior motive. She confesses to Peter that she is in love with him and then kisses him ex when Peter's partner, Mary Jane, walks in.

It is awkward for any person to walks in while their better-half is locking lips with someone else. But this is inconceivably worse since Sarah is, at the very oldest, six years old. MJ reminds Spidey of this, saying that Sarah was "just a kid" when she made out with him.
