10 Lame Comic Book Villains (Who Are Actually Incredibly Powerful)
1. Batroc The Leaper
In the storied vaults of Marvel Comics' lore, their are two names that evoke a chorus of groans from fans who are forced to recall just how lame they were. The first is the Wrecking Crew, who are pretty lame and irredeemable. But the other name is the ridiculously French Batroc the Leaper.
The purple-suited former Legionnaire is a master of the French martial art Savate, which specializes in leg strength and kicks. As such, he gets his name from his only known power: above average flexibility and the ability to jump higher than most normal men. And that's it. He has combat training, but not as much as most of the heroes he's gone up against. The only other advantage he has in a fight is the ability to make his opponents laugh with his ludicrous outfit and accent.
But even though he's egregiously lame, Batroc has been remarkably successful. He has few out-and-out victories to speak of, but he's never spent too much time behind bars and is always catching his enemies off-guard. His special skills have seen him recruited by Hydra, the Thunderbolts, Masters of Evil, and the Army of Evil. He's gone toe-to-toe with and even beaten Black Widow and Captain America in single combat and trained Gwenpool to do the same.
How badass is this lame character? He had to be played by UFC legend Georges St-Pierre in Captain America: Winter Soldier.
