10 Laziest Comic Book Villains

7. Red Skull

Red Skull may not be the first person you think of when it comes to laziness, but bear with me here. Captain America's favourite Nazi punching bag may have made Hydra into the potential world-conquering army it became, but did he really do that much?

Well, no, not really.

Shmidt's childhood is your typical orphan boy turned small time criminal, with his turn into more serious acts after being rejected by his childhood sweetheart. He was then taken under Hitler's wing and spent his time trying to live up to the leader's standards.

Though he would eventually break out from the subordinate role, he was still just a Hitler copycat with few ideas of his own.

Given that he was granted the role of overseeing the Nazi science division, the Red Skull didn't exactly impress with his actions. Despite having the best scientific minds that Germany and its allies had to offer, very little of the inventions that came out of Hydra were original.

Even Shmidt's greatest creation during the war, the Nullatron, was stolen from existing plans.

If it wasn't for the Cosmic Cube, there's no chance the Red Skull would have become as feared as he did.
