If you feel as if Cessily Kincaid's mutation is familiar in someway, well, we can understand. After all, she is pretty much the female incarnation of Robert Patrick's T-1000 from Terminator 2. Comprised of non-organic, non-toxic mercury, Cessily is able to turn into liquid puddles of metal, shape her body and limbs into sharp weapons and blades, and is highly resistant (but not completely invulnerable) to magic and telepathy due to her transient state. Unfortunately, this mutation has not only given Cessily the power to shape into things made of mercury, it has also given her a complete mercury makeover, coating her body in a metallic sheen reminiscent of the Silver Surfer. It was this side effect that caused Cessily's parents to ship her off to Xavier's school, not wanting the neighbor's to know of their daughter's superhuman abilities. Because of this, Cessily has wished for nothing but acceptance and love from her own family and was even disappointed to discover that - after the events of M-Day - that she was one of the 27 Xavier students to actually keep her mutation.
