10 METAL Moments From Dark Nights: Metal

The launch of DC Rebirth promised to tie any up and all loose ends left over by its predecessor the New 52, which was DC's attempt at a hard reboot for their comics and characters. Because of this, many fans have been awaiting the reintroduction of characters who haven't been mentioned since the initiative began, wondering if they even exist at all in this new status quo established in 2016.

Luckily, Metal gave us a myriad of cameos and returns, cementing the existence of many legendary characters like Plastic Man and Martian Manhunter, two former members of the Justice League.

Other forces for good popped their heads in for this epic tale like Detective Chimp, Mr. Terrific, The Red Tornado, Hawkman, Dream of The Endless, and even gave us a glimpse at the Oblivion Bar, a drinking establishment in a pocket dimension created in 2005.

Heroes aren't the only ones making a come-back though. Vintage Justice League villain Starro The Conquerer, and Shazam villain Black Adam, make appearances as well, and Metal gives us our first non-flashback Joker appearance since Rebirth began. These cameos are far from one-offs, as each character has a hand in Metal's plot and the future of DC to come.
