There are a lot of great comics featuring the Merc With A Mouth as the starring character, none are yet to surpass the 2014 run by dream team Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan.

Everything you love about Deadpool as a character, as well as the stories he tends to get mixed up in, is showcased wonderfully in this series.

The stories vary wildly in terms of content, but keep a steady tone of screwball humor mixed with heart pounding superhero action. Hard to do for a hero who basically can't die, but Posehn and Duggan more than pull it off by surrounding Deadpool with a wonderfully likable supporting cast that you want to see also make it out alive.

The art of this comic run exemplify the balanced approach taken towards the character, managing to be both cartoony enough to carry the comedic scenes (even having every recap being performed by chibi Deadpool), while also being just realistic enough to be believable when Deadpool starts making chunky salsa out of hapless goons.
