10 Most Disastrous Comic Book Misprints

2. Spider-Man Reign #1: Peter Parker Is Naked

Spider-Man Reign was always intended for more mature audiences than most comic books, which is why it was rated Teens and Up upon its release. With the series fans knew that they would be getting a grittier Spider-Man story that showed the web-head in a never before seen way. They just didn’t know they’d literally be seeing him in a never before seen way; totally 100% naked.

Focusing on an elderly Peter Parker (or Palmer, whatever), the panel in question from Reign clearly showed Parker’s genitals while he was sitting on his bed. Of course, even Teens and Up aren’t ready for that level of detail in comic books, and as a result Marvel issued an apology and got their lawyers lined up in case they were sued for corrupting minors.

Though the misprint was later removed from subsequent printings and Parker's dangly bits were covered in shadows, the damage had been done and Peter Parker will from now on always be a member of the celebrity nude leak club.
