Anyone who puts fear into the Swamp Thing must be pretty damn scary, and Arcane doesn't disappoint.

Anton Arcane was a creepy old man and mad scientist in life, who became a sadistic, mutilated undead necromancer in death. He's escaped Hell multiple times, he leads an army of grotesque "un-men" that he created, and he has a tendency to possess the bodies of the dead, and continually returns from Hell in more and more twisted Frankenstinian forms.

His creepiest story was definitely when he possessed the body of his niece's newly-deceased husband, Matt Cable, when no one knew he'd died, and lived with her, sleeping with her, posing as her husband for some time until Matt's body decayed enough that the stench made her see through the lie.
