Speaking of the films, Fox seem to be jumping on that whole cinematic universe thing not only by (essentially) rebooting the franchise with this year's Days Of Future Past, but are also going to start spinning off characters into their own solo films Wolverine's already had two starting with Gambit. Previously played by Taylor Kitsch in series nadir X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and set to be essayed by Channing Tatum in X-Men: Apocalypse and the forthcoming solo film, Gambit is a fan favourite character. The Cajun con artist with control over kinetic energy (what does that even mean?) might be popular, but that doesn't stop him from being totally awful. Seriously, in a series that's so rife with undercooked characters, Remy LeBeau is particularly one-dimensional. A perpetual creep/sex pest with a poorly-defined power set, stupid costume (he's like a crap Power Ranger with those colours and armour) and ridiculous accent, Gambit doesn't deserve to so feted. He's not changed a dot in the twenty years since his introduction, and he was terrible to start off with.
