Professor Xavier is a jerk! No, seriously, that might have been the hormone-induced tantrum of teenage Kitty Pryde not long after her introduction to the X-Men, but in that case she was pretty much on the money. The supposedly benevolent leader of the School For Gifted Youngsters is nothing like the kindly father figure everyone makes him out to be. That's the impression given from most of his depictions, though, and by the way people talk about him. Patrick Stewart gave him an air of regal, infallible perfection, something which is far from what Professor Xavier actually is. You realise that he sent a group of sensitive teens out to fight Magneto, right? Which is hardly his worse crime. There's also all the times he's faked his death unbeknownst to his students, covering up the actual death of a previous group of X-Men, fancying prepubescent Jean Grey, that whole Onslaught...just accept it, the guy's a tool, not a hero.
