10 Strangest Versions Of The Punisher
4. Wolverine
At this point, it just seems like the only real requirements for becoming the Punisher in the Marvel Multiverse is to know how to use weapons, and to have your family killed. Because that's exactly what happened to Logan in an alternate universe.
A good number of years before he would be taken by the Weapon X program, Logan was just a family man trying to do right by his wife and child. He worked in a bar to help some bootleggers, but things went bad and everyone, including his family, was killed.
Furious, Logan dons the iconic skull shirt and hunts down the people responsible. When the job is done, he decides to keep going after criminals, effectively turning into that world's Punisher.
The would-be Wolverine didn't have to change much to fit the role of the Punisher, and that is a bit of a scary thought to be honest. After all, the only thing scarier than the Punisher, is a mutant-powered Punisher.
