10 Superheroes Who Have Committed Murder

9. Cyclops

Batman Kills A Man
Marvel Comics

For decades, Scott Summers AKA Cyclops was known as the leader of the X-Men. In recent years, he is better-known as the one who murdered Professor X.

If you're shocked by Cyclops ending his mentor's life, give him a little credit. He's been killing people for years! In fact, Cyclops has ended more lives than some supervillains. When a mutant called Berzerker saw his girlfriend being shot at by cops, Berzerker went... um... berserk and attacked the police officers. Cyclops blasted the mutant, killing him.

In another story, the X-Men encountered Candra - an External who claimed to be immortal. However, Candra only had a semblance of immortality because she kept her soul in a precious gem. When Cyclops shot at the crystal with his optic beam, Candra perished.

In the Second Coming storyline, the leader of The Reavers, Donald Pierce, destroyed the X-Men's vehicles. In a rage, Cyclops blasted Pierce to death. (It's worth mentioning that Berzerker, Candra, and Donald Pierce eventually came back to life because, hey, this is comics.)

Cyclops has also performed a mercy killing to one of his own team members in Grant Morrison's story, E for Extinction. When his ally, Ugly John, was maimed by a Sentinel, Summers realised that he couldn't be saved and so, put him out of his misery.
