IDW's Ghostbusters series is great fun, and the perfect example of how to use a license effectively. Erik Burnham has presided over nearly a decade's worth of stories focusing on the adventures of Ray, Peter, Egon and Winston, with frequent collaborator Dan Schoening providing the perfect pencils to compliment Burnham's scripts.

IDW have become the go-to publisher when it comes to licensed comics over the last few decades, with Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers their most successful series. It only makes sense, then, that they crossover from time to time, and that just so happened to be the case with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Ghostbusters.

At a glance, this particular crossover might seem a little odd. After all, the Turtles tend to align more so with the martial arts and superhero genre, while the Ghostbusters are exclusively supernatural. Personality wise, though, there is plenty to link the two properties together, with both units boasting similar figures.

The series came about in 2014, just in time for both properties' 30th anniversaries. The end result was also great fun, with inter-dimensional hijinks, spooky happenings and a healthy dose of ninjas thrown in for good measure.
