10 Things DC Wants You To Forget About Wonder Woman

8. She€™'s One Of The Most Powerful Heroes In The DCU

Calling Wonder Woman the "best melee fighter in the world" is to do her an injustice. Well, it'€™s technically true, but it€™'s just the tip of the iceberg. In fact Wonder Woman is one of the most powerful members of the DC Universe, easily able to hold her own against heavy hitters like Shazam and Superman.

It€™'s just rare that gets acknowledged or in any way used as an interesting dynamic alongside her more testosterone-bound colleagues. In fact in the early days of the Justice Society, Wonder Woman didn€™t even get taken along on any missions. She made the tea. Gender equality has come a long way since then, but it'€™s still not quite at the point it should be for Diana Prince, long-time Amazonian warrior and (it was recently revealed) a demigod.

Like, she literally has the powers of a god. That doesn'€™t make her unique amongst the DC Universe, but it is rare. And that€™'s a level of power that€™'s rarely reflected in her stories, as she'€™s often called upon to deal with threats that are a fraction of the severity that, say, Aquaman is expected to sort out on a monthly basis. Probably best not to question it.

Or why she has that invisible jet when she can fly...
