That's right; the Hulk was on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. It's a privilege normally reserved for people like the musical, acting and sporting elite but, in September of 1971, the big green Marvel hero graced the front page of the popular publication. To emphasise how strange this was, take note of the the fact that, within that same year, the likes of Michael Jackson, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, George Harrison, Jim Morrison, Jefferson Airplane, Keith Richards, Peter Fonda, James Taylor, Muhammad Ali, The Beach Boys, Pete Townshend, Tricia Nixon and Ike and Tina Turner had been the cover folk of the magazine. Who knew the Hulk was that cool?
