10 Things You Didn't Know About Wonder Woman

2. She Has Nearly Appeared On Live Action TV Twice Since 1975

It is a fairly well publicised fact that, back in 2011, there was an attempt to launch a revived Wonder Woman television series. The show would have starred Adrianne Palicki (who now plays Mockingbird in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series) as the Amazon heroine and a pilot episode - which can be found on the internet relatively easily, incidentally - was made. However, NBC decided not to proceed with a full series. Prior to that, however, the makers of the Superman television show Smallville wanted to include a younger version of Wonder Woman as one of its characters. Sadly, they were unable to do so, as a film version was being planned by Buffy creator Joss Whedon at the time. The film didn't actually end up happening, of course, and Whedon went on to direct The Avengers for Marvel Studios.
