3. Her First Costume Was Changed After Parents Complained
Back when Wonder Woman first appeared in comic books, her costume left the majority of her back exposed. However, after complaints from the parents of children who read comics about the levels of violence and nudity depicted in them, the comic book industry introduced the Comics Code Authority in 1954. As a result, Wonder Womans costume was redesigned so that the majority of her back - though not all of it - was covered up. On a related note, for several years her costume changed completely. A 1968 issue of her comic book saw Wonder Woman give up her super powers. From then until 1973, she was powerless and her costume changed to a white catsuit and she would fight her opponents using only her skills in karate.
