5. There Have Been Multiple Attempts At A TV Series
The upcoming Netflix series about the Man Without Fear has got a lot to live up to. Not only does the Charlie Cox Daredevil have to make up for that pretty crummy Ben Affleck movie, but it's also built on the incomplete foundations for countless other TV series they've considered over the years. Probably the better-known attempt at a Daredevil series comes in the form of The Trial Of The Incredible Hulk, a made-for-TV movie sequel to the classic seventies Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno show. It involved Matt Murdock defending Bruce Banner, whilst also doing some Daredevil ninja action, and was intended as a backdoor pilot for his own series. Lesser known was the attempt by David Bowie's ex-wife, Angie Bowie, to produce her own Daredevil TV show even earlier than that. She would've starred alongside actor Ben Carruthers as Daredevil, with Bowie playing Black Widow. Yep.
