10 Times Daredevil Was Forced To Kill

7. Empath In The Age Of Apocalypse

The Age Of Apocalypse was not kind to anybody. Whilst crossover leaders the X-Men were dealing with bad costumes, worse haircuts and stupid plot twists, the rest of the Marvel Universe didn't escape from this dystopian future where genocidal maniac mutant Apocalypse orders all regular humans (and their sympathisers) be put to death. Matt Murdock still had his magical radar-vision following an incident with some toxic waste, and so he was mutated enough to be worthy of employment by Apocalypse. Not quite a villain but not all that nice either, Keeper Murdock was charged with handling a prisoner of Apocalypse lackey Mikhail Rasputin. Empath has the ability of projecting his feelings out to those all around him, which Rasputin utilised by hooking the young mutant up to a computer so that he might better subjugate an entire country. Murdock realises how much pain this puts Empath in after touching him, and kills him to put him out of his misery.
