10. Destroying The Homes Of The Poor

When Superman was first introduced, he'd often tackle problems which he believed were having a negative on America as a whole. For example, when his friend was killed in a car accident, he went about trying to destroy every car ever, and when it became clear how daft that was, the Man of Steel set his sights on the mayor and bullied him into enforcing new rules which meant stricter punishments for traffic violations.

So, while he went about these things in the wrong way, Superman's intentions were arguably good, but it's hard to say that about his decision to crack down on crime by destroying low income neighbourhoods. Believing that the poor were responsible for the majority of crime in Metropolis, Superman burned down their houses after kicking out the residents.

In their place, new housing developments were constructed for more respectable folk, and those who previously lived there were presumably made homeless or likely fled to Gotham (which explains why there's now so much more crime in Batman's city than there is in Superman's).
