10 Underrated Supervillains Who Deserved Better
5. Death-Stalker
Death-Stalker should become a major Marvel villain solely for the hilarious idea of people having to address someone by a name that sounds like the edgy nickname a teenage goth would give themselves.
He existed as a semi-permanent enemy to Daredevil back during the seventies, and then had a single appearance in 2011 during the first Villains for Hire issue.
As much as Death-Stalker is somewhat outdated - as his character design looks like an outdated mafia figure with a hat - it somehow works, likely because Death-Stalker has maybe the most unusually cool powers of all time. They involve his aptly named death grip, which is strong enough to break bones, bricks, and anything else that would look cool if someone crushed it to pieces with their hands.
While Death-Stalker is somewhat undermined in Villains For Hire by major villains like the Purple man, even his minor role is somehow interesting, proving that the time for a proper Death-Stalker revival may have arrived.
