10 Weird And Wonderful Alternate Versions Of Spider-Man
4. Spider-Ham
There are plenty of silly and wacky animal versions of the wall-crawler that’ve been made in jest. This includes the likes of Spider-Monkey, the 'Ape-vengers' Spider-Man, and Werewolf Spider-Man.
But forget that! Look at Spider-Ham, AKA Peter Porker.
As one might expect, the Spectacular Spider-Ham has a pretty ridiculous origin. Looking to revolutionise the hair care industry (as we all strive to do at some point in our lives), Peter used an atomic hair-dryer on May Porker. Now, he started out as a cartoonish anthropomorphic spider but, when he was bitten by an irritated Aunt May, he became a pig... with spider powers.
Despite all of this his popularity was impressive. He flitted in and out of actual, real Marvel stories, such as Spider-Verse and Secret Wars, and was even enlisted into the Avengers Academy by Iron Man.
Now we just have to wait for Fox to be bought by Disney, and finally The Simpson Movie’s Spider-Pig could actually fight side by side with Peter Parker.
