10 Weird Comic Crossovers You Won't Believe Happened

One of weirder sales tactics in comics is to try and sell people on the idea of a celebrity cameo, like your favourite personality is actually appearing in the comic rather than it just being a picture. Things only get worse when you let that celebrity dictate how the appear.

Eminem/The Punisher was a comic released to promote the rapper's album Relapse and reads exactly like a 15 year-olds wish fulfilment fantasy.

The issue starts with the Punisher killing Eminem's bodyguards before coming after him. However, because Slim Shady is such a super-cool gangster, he manages to get the drop on Frank and beats him unconscious. Apparently, Punisher's years of combat training left him no match for a skinny white guy.

Then they both get kidnapped by the hitman Barracuda, who Punisher was actually trying to protect Eminem from (why exactly that involved killing his bodyguards is never explained). Barracuda, in true villain fashion, takes them out into the middle of the ocean instead of just shooting them.

Except in this case, the middle of the ocean actually means surrounded by ice and so Eminem jumps off the boat, finds a chainsaw and then comes back and kills Barracuda with it.

It was not a good comic.
