10 Worst Marvel Superhero Costumes Of All Time

4. Emma Frost

Emma Frost
Marvel Comics

Emma Frost is an Omega-level Mutant and arguably the most powerful telepath on the planet. She has also long been one of the most obvious examples of the over-sexualization of women in comic books. Her original look as the Hellfire Club’s White Queen was directly inspired by the “risqué outfit” that TV’s Avengers Emma Peel is forced to wear when she goes undercover as the Queen of Sin in the show’s Hellfire Club.

But the White Queen outfit isn’t the most problematic. There is one that not only defies decency, it practically defies gravity. That costume, what there was of it, was in Emma's signature color of white. There was a zippered neckpiece that she wore occasionally but not always, though that wasn’t connected to the rest of the outfit but looked like a free-floating turtle neck. The bustier came around her back and stopped in the middle of her breasts, and that didn’t connect at all in the center and seemed to be held up by sheer force of will.

The bottoms were “boy shorts” with a zipper that started at the navel, and the ensemble was completed with finger-less opera-length gloves and thigh-high boots. The outfit was completely impractical in any type of physical fight and it is amazing she was never arrested for indecent exposure.
