10 Worst Things Jean Grey Has Ever Done

8. She Became A Supervillain

It's pretty hard to deny that the universe wherein Jean Grey becomes a part of the Sinister Six is definitely one of her more questionable moments - even if it was revealed in the end to be a matter of brainwashing.

In Earth-295, Jean Grey takes on this villainous job after the defeat of Apocalypse, after which she is kidnapped by Sinister and mind-controlled into his team of villains. Grey is then set against her former friends, and almost murders Sunfire before she is brought back to her senses.

While nobody dies, it's also somehow totally ignored that she does charbroil a hero alive, as Sunfire clearly takes a pretty intense amount of damage before she returns to her senses.

Although villainous points are naturally taken off for her not slam-dunking her friends of her own volition, the fact that Jean starts this issue a villain, and ends it as the new leader of the X-Men, says some concerning things about the Uncanny team's promotion system.
