10 Zany Comic Book Movies That Would Send Fans Wild
3. Multiple Man
If you thought Firestorm had multiple personality issues, then you've seen nothing yet. The Multiple Man possesses the unique ability to create perfect replicas of himself through the use of kinetic energy. Unlike the majority of mutants in the Marvel Universe, Jamie Madrox manifested his powers soon after birth, when a doctor slapped him and created two identical babies. Generally though, Madrox creates replicas by stamping his feet or snapping his fingers. What's fascinating about the Multiple Man is that every time he creates an identical copy, the replica possesses its own unique viewpoint and experiences the world separately from the original Madrox. Once the duplicate is reabsorbed, Madrox acquires all of the knowledge and skills that his copy developed during the separation. So what does this mean? Well, while the copies generally cooperate with Madrox, many of them have led their own separate lives in the comics, taking on a variety of roles including a Shaolin Monk, an Olympic gymnast and even criminals! The issue here is that some of the duplicates become highly unpredictable as a result of this, often becoming too volatile or meek to help Madrox in battle. The Multiple Man appeared briefly in X-Men: The Last Stand, but we don't need to tell you how terrible that was...There's plenty of dramatic potential in a solo Multiple Man movie whose protagonist is constantly arguing with versions of himself, but there's also the possibility that Marvel could take an adaptation down a hilarious comedic route.
