13 Inappropriate Moments That Prove Comics Are Made By Total Perverts

1. The Leather Thong

Some of the examples in this article are fairly easily accepted as harmless mistakes. They could be thanks to the use of antiquated language, or the genuine naivety of artists who meant nothing by covering a character's face in white liquid, or making it look like a superhero was fondling another character. They probably aren't, but they could be. But there are some, like this haunting and by now iconic image from Batman, which simply defies all explanation.
Batman has a good right to look sheepish. The number of questions that this throws up far outweighs the answers provided by the panel. Why was there a leather thong, and who did it belong to? Why was Batman biting it? And why on Earth did Batman strip the thong off whoever was wearing it and keep it as a trophy?! That is an awfully small thong as well, so presumably, that wouldn't have been part of a villain's outer garments, which in turn means that Batman must have been down to underpants level with the unknown thong wearer.
