With the mutants on their own island in the Pacific Ocean, it's only natural for the humans on the planet to get a little worried about what they might be conjuring up. After all, mutant-human relations have never really been in a good enough place for either of them. That's why a new team called Orchis have been created to keep tabs on what Xavier and co. are doing.

So who are Orchis? Well, they've got a bit of everyone within their ranks. Former members of S.H.I.E.L.D., A.I.M, Alpha Flight, Hydra and more are associated with the team. That's not even including former X-Men member Karima Shapandar, otherwise known as the Omega Sentinel.

Her involvement in this team could make life extremely difficult for the mutants, especially if they're able to achieve their overall goal. Orchis aren't passively standing by, waiting for the mutants to strike. They're on the offensive themselves, which we see in House of X #3 when we find out their plan of action.

The group are in the process of trying to build Mother Mold, which is a sentinel factory that will eventually help create the ultimate sentinel, Nimrod. So although the island of Karkoa offers mutants a safe haven, with Orchis plotting against them, it's only a matter of time before their utopia is threatened.
