Coming Out Of The Shadows While he had been back in Gotham for some time, Bruce had yet to really resurface in the public eye. Shying away from the attention brought by being gone for so long, Bruce had spent most of his time at home, toying around with the idea of becoming Batman and trying to hone his craft as best he could before stepping out into the night. In issue #24, Bruce addresses the media about the importance of Gotham City and his love for his home, and in turn he later puts on the Cowl for the first time. He returns as Bruce Wayne, and also becomes Batman all in the same issue where he meets Jim Gordon and we get the reveal that The Joker was the leader of The Red Hood Gang.
