It would be easy to dismiss the Hobgoblin as a cheap Green Goblin knock-off, but the villain has been consistently fun to see in action over the years, regardless of who's beneath the mask. It took a while for Roderick Kingsley to be confirmed as the one true Hobgoblin, but those who preceded and succeeded him have all been great in very different ways. The mystery surrounding his true identity was actually pretty compelling, but Hobgoblin's recent exploits - as someone who sells retired supervillain identities to the highest bidder - have been just as interesting. So too was seeing Phil Urich step up to take his place.
