7. He Had An Imposter In The 1950s
Marvel are sticklers for continuity, so it probably shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to learn that they found a way of explaining why Captain America had some adventures in the 1950s despite being frozen before the end of World War II. As it turns out, that wasn't Captain America at all. Instead, it was an unhinged history professor who became obsessed with the superhero and even had plastic surgery to look more like him. Using the Super Solider Serum (minus the Vita Rays) just sent him completely over the edge, and as time has gone on, the Communists he fought have been explained away as hallucinations.
