5 Reasons Why Emma Frost May Save Mutantkind (And 5 Reasons Why She'll Be Their Death)

9. Save: Emma Has Made Plans Since The Beginning Of Krakoa

Emma Frost
Marvel Comics

In many ways, Emma Frost has become the public face of Krakoa. The Hellfire Trading Company was an international business that serves the commercial and financial interests of the island nation. As a ruling member of the Quiet Council, she has a direct influence on the political aspects of her society and its diplomatic relations with the outside world, and as the creator and host of the annual Hellfire Gala, she has a direct influence on how the outside world sees the mutant society from a cultural standpoint.

Emma was one of the first people asked to be part of the new island nation of Krakoa. Her skills as a business person and years of having run a multi-billion dollar transportation conglomerate were desperately needed to create a financial infrastructure for this new nation and a system for delivering the newly created medicines to their international customers. For this assistance, she was given two seats on the new nation's ruling body. Ever the shrewd negotiator, Frost demanded a third.

Located on the rocky edge of Hellfire Bay, Emma Frost had the huge crystalline White Palace created as her stronghold as the White Queen. She lives there with he brother Christian, her White Bishop, her five “daughters” the Stepford Cuckoos, and her personal chef, Saucier.
