7 Completely Insane Team-Ups In Recent DC Comics

1. The Anti-Monitor And Aquaman

When Aquaman sacrificed himself to kill the cosmic Death Kraken at the climax of last year's Drowned Earth event, we all expected a big glorious comeback for the sea king on the pages of Justice League comics, but it's safe to say no one saw this coming.

When this partnership was first revealed, there were articles popping up claiming that Aquaman had returned to Justice League comics as a villain, and would be fighting his old friends, but the truth turned out to be much stranger than that.

Rather than Aquaman turning on his allies, we now know that the Anti-Monitor - arguably the League's greatest enemy of all time - has been working behind the scenes with Aquaman to help them.

Arthur is now traveling through time to aid the League in their missions, while his "ally" the Anti-Monitor met, and joined forces with his brothers, the Monitor and the World Forger, as well as the Justice League!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one.
