8 Best Times X-Men Joined The Avengers

5. Dazzler

Uncanny Avengers Captain America Wolverine
Marvel Comics

The first all-female Avengers team, A-Force, would see Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, Medusa, and Singularity be joined in issue #2 by Nico Minoru and everyone's favorite disco queen, Dazzler.

Except this wasn't the Dazzler of the old days. Gone were the flares, platform shoes, and songs about Staying Alive. In their place came roller derby gear, mohawks, and punk rock cranked up to eleven.

When the entity known as Antimatter shows up, with plans to destroy everything (as is always the way of things), it falls to this team of ragtag heroes to band together and ensure the villain doesn't succeed.

It seems, for all intense and purposes, that her run on the team will be short-lived, after Antimatter leaves her for dead only one issue after her debut. However, with the help of some funky new technology she makes a full recovery - just in time to help kick his sparkly, glowing butt into another dimension.

It's a shame that this series only ran for fifteen issues in total, as an all-female Avengers was a great idea. Maybe now, with the success of Captain Marvel, Marvel should reboot it. After all, the more women kicking ass in comics, the better.
