Michael Keaton might be one of the finest actors working today. It's not hard to see why. He channels crazy like no one else quite can. This is evident in his performance as the Vulture in Homecoming.

While he is scary as the Vulture in the movie, the point at which he becomes truly scary is when he is out of costume and alone with Peter Parker in a car. Having realised Peter is Spider-Man, he simply pulls a gun out and turns to face him with a calm and reserved anger.

This is where Keaton shines. He doesn't yell, he doesn't point the gun at Peter, he simply tells him what is going to happen in plain words. "Never interfere with my business again, because if you do, I'll kill you and everyone you love."

Homecoming took the Vulture from his comic roots to a fearsome and terrifying mastermind who displays not only the character's ruthlessness, but his humanity too, dispatching anyone who gets in his way. Keaton portrays this in a way that no one else could, with such conviction that it sends shivers down the audience's spine.
