Dawn Of X: 10 Spin-Off Comics Marvel Must Make
2. Wolfsbane
Rahne Sinclair (Wolfsbane) was the child of Reverend Craig and a prostitute. Rahne was unwanted by both her parents. She became a ward of the church and became the responsibility of the man who happened to be her father (she would not discover this for many years).
Reverend Craig was a religious fundamentalist with a strong sense of faith, but he was also a cruel, mean-spirited man who often took to drinking.
At the age of 14, Rahne mutant powers of lycanthropy emerge. Rev. Craig gathers a large group of his religious fanatical followers and forms a mob intent on capturing Rahne.
Finding out, she changes into a wolf and runs for her life. It was her would-be-father's plan to capture her and perform an exorcism on her.
To rid her of the "devil", he was going to burn her at the stake.
Wolfsbane’s spin-off could center around how she contracted lycanthropy (and became a werewolf; was it genetic? A curse?) and her life as a ward of the church. If the lycanthropy had been brought on by a werewolf attack, such an attack could also be described – as well as the illness that followed. Wolfbane’s spin-off could also show Rev. Craig slowly losing touch with reality and becoming more and more suspicious of his own daughter; believing her to be a conduit for the devil.
