DC Cancel Six Series' Including OMAC, Mister Terrific, Static Shock & More

They will be replaced by six new series' including Batman Incorporated, Earth Two, Worlds Finest and more.

When DC's New 52 launched last year, I asked myself: will they still cancel a book due to poor sales? Seeing that there publication slate only consist of 52 books (and a handful of miniseries). Well, it seems DC have come up with a logical solution to this dilemma: cancel one book to make way for another. One out, one in style. Reported by Bleeding Cool, six of the launch titles from DC's universe wide reboot, Hawk and Dove, O.M.A.C., Mister Terrific, Men Of War, Static Shock, and Blackhawks, have all gotten the axe and will end with their eighth issue. In May, the six new series will start: Batman Incorporated, continuing the story Grant Morrison started in the pre-New 52 universe. Earth Two, featuring the Justice Society from a parallel Earth. Dial H, a tale of transferrable super powers based on the old series Dial H For Hero. Worlds Finest, which stars Huntress and Power Girl as refugees from Earth 2. G.I. Combat, which continues the theme of war comics from Men Of War, but with soldiers trapped on an island populated by Dinosaurs. And The Ravagers, a spin off from Superboy and Teen Titans, about four teen super heroes on the run from evil organization, N.O.W.H.E.R.E.
