MCU Phase 4: 10 Obscure Comic Villains Who Should Appear

7. Juggernaut

Vinnie Jones made some nice contributions to Hollywood with his roles in Snatch, Mean Machine and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, films he should be proud of.

But any good he did for the industry was diminished when Cain Marko, the Juggernaut, was for some reason transformed into a mouthy, Essex hooligan in X-Men: The Last Stand. It was a dark moment in Marvel film history as Jones' Juggernaut was so greatly understated. Cyttorak, a demonic deity whose gem gives Marko his powers of immense strength and momentum, is no stringbean in the villain world.

Unfortunately, Chris Hemsworths don't grow on trees, and it tends to be the case that you either get mountainous, statuesque figures...or you get a good actor.

Calum von Moger checks the first box. And though 2017 sequel to documentary Generation Iron is his only film credit to date, the South African bodybuilder is set to play an in-prime Arnold Schwarzenegger in "acting debut," Bigger, scheduled for a 2018 release.

That's testament enough to whether the 6'2" Adonis could look the part as Cain Marko, throw in some deceptive camera angles, a splodge of CGI, hope to God the man can act and we might just have ourselves a Juggernaut.

The problem with putting Marko in cinema is that his background is intimately linked with the X-Men—he’s Charles Xavier’s step-brother after all. That makes it seem unlikely we’ll be seeing much of that material arise in time for Phase Four, but then there was a time we never thought Spidey would be throwing down in Phase Three.

Ideal Casting: Calum von Moger

Tom Sunderland hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
