3. Batman & Son (Batman 655-658)
It turns out that Talia al Ghul date raped Batman, and gave birth to a son, Damian. Batman takes in the boy, but soon realizes that Talia has trained Damian to be a brutal killer. Hilarity ensues. Also, there's something about Man-Bat in there somewhere. Damian Wayne is a controversial character in the Batman mythos. Some people feel he's a great addition to the Bat Family, while others think he's annoying. Others feel uncomfortable with the idea of Batman having a son--or being date raped--while others feel that Damian is an important step along the Dark Knight's growth as a character. What is undeniable, however, is that Batman and Talia having a child together opens the door to many different stories. Damian is a killer, who sees nothing wrong with decapitating criminals. Both Batman and Talia try to influence the boy, and he's caught in the middle between two powerful, influential figures. In short, it's Krammer vs Krammer, reenacted by men in tights...and Talia al Ghul.
