Shazam: 7 Things You Need To Know
1. His Main Nemesis Is Black Adam
Unless DC are really trying to surprise us, then it is unlikely that Black Adam will appear in the upcoming Shazam movie. However, while the character may not be a part of the DCEU for a while yet, the villain will forever be known as the enemy of Billy Batson.
In his pre-New 52 origin, Teth Adam is the ruler of the small nation of Kahndaq after murdering the previous ruler, being the first champion of the wizard Shazam, being bestowed the powers in around 1200 BC. However, his powers are stripped from him after the aforementioned murder, the character only returning in a reincarnated form in the modern era, initially going insane and killing Batson's parents.
While it has been confirmed that Mark Strong's Doctor Sivana will be filling the role of villain in the Shazam film, Black Adam will always be the character's quintessential villain - a fact Warner Bros. (and Dwayne Johnson), must surely be aware of.
