X-Men: 10 Actors Who Could Play The MCU’s Magneto

It's common knowledge that Giancarlo Esposito has been in talks with Disney about entering the MCU. But, Esposito has also been adamant that the role he wants to play is the X-Men's fearless leader, Professor X. That's a casting that gets our geek blood pumping. Still, it's safe to say that Disney could also push him back into old habits by having him play another calculating villain. It may not be the road less travelled, but it would still be a smooth ride.
Esposito has carved out a clear niche for himself in the world of TV as the cold, intelligent and borderline emotionless villain. He's brought this schtick to Breaking Bad, The Boys and even Disney's The Mandalorian. You'd think audiences would get bored of seeing him in such a specific typecast, but the truth is, he plays these roles so damn well that it's impossible not to love them.
As Magneto, he could bring this in full force. Erik could come across as someone who meticulously plans their moves, making his every decision feel like a play in a game of chess. Plus, the more action-heavy moments (like using his Magnetism) would give Esposito a fresh, physical avenue to explore.
