X-Men: 10 Actors Who Could Play The MCU’s Magneto
7. Ralph Fiennes
Ralph Fiennes as a big powerful villain? Doesn't that seem a little repetitive? Yes, it does, but sometimes the easiest option is the best one, and if you can claim that he wouldn't nail this role, then your mutant power is to lie to yourself.
There's a reason Ralph Fiennes plays villains so often, and it's that he's exceptionally good at it. While he does get typecast as the bad guy a lot, he brings something unique to every single one. Voldemort (Harry Potter) was creepy and quirky, Amon Goeth (Shindler's List) was frightening and psychopathic, and Francis Dolarhyde (Red Dragon) was empathetic yet unsettling. He does this to every bad guy he plays, and thus, Magneto would be a new avenue to explore.
His British accent, frightening face, confidence and on-screen presence are all stunning ingredients for creating a memorable Magneto. Plus, he's got an undeniable star power that would bring a tonne of credibility to the role. He's one of the few actors who could rival even Ian McKellen when it comes to casting a famous British actor.
