X-Men: 10 Actors Who Could Play The MCU’s Magneto
6. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Part of what makes Erik Lehnsnerr such a timeless villain is his complexity. He's nowhere near as clear-cut as baddies like Galactus or MODOK, as he's spent time on almost every side. Villain, antihero, even a full-on hero at times, he's a character whose motives always dictate his actions but lead him in plenty of differing directions. So, with all that being said, why not get someone with experience in that regard? Why not get Jaime f***in' Lannister?
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is a Danish actor who quickly rose to prominence thanks to his role in Game of Thrones. But, he's gone on to show (in projects like Mama, Oblivion, Against the Ice and more) that he's way more than a one-trick pony. A big role like this in the MCU would be a sublime way to move on from his star-making fantasy part once and for all.
This actor is known for his ability to flip-flop between being a total jerk and a loveable rogue. He can also switch on an intense energy that makes him formidable, yet still charming and likeable. This role would be a great chance for him to deliver that sinister, yet alluring, edge, albeit with a lot more power.
