10 2019 Movies That Could Score 100% On Rotten Tomatoes
5. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part
Release Date: February 8
The Buzz: The Lego Movie was an insanely pleasant surprise, serving up an unexpectedly intelligent, subversive and even poignant movie about the joys of play while simultaneously functioning as an effective commercial for the titular product.
The film landed a colossal 96% critical approval, and though that presents an enormous hill for the sequel to climb, especially without Phil Lord and Christopher Miller returning to direct, they are at least writing the script and producing it.
Considering that Lord and Miller both performed similar duties on Into the Spider-Verse, there's every possibility their Midas touch will strike once again.
The trailers released so far suggest another riotous, gorgeously animated good time, yet once again, it could end up surpassing everyone's wildest expectations.
