When you look at her career, it's pretty impressive that Nicole Kidman has never done a sequel. She's been in so many movies that could easily have led to her reprising a role, but for various reasons, things just haven't worked out that way.

For starters, she was in 1995's Batman Forever, and even though her character survived the movie, she wasn't invited back for the sequel, Batman & Robin - although, with hindsight, that's definitely a good thing.

In 2006, she had a voice role in Happy Feet, but when her character popped up for a cameo in Happy Feet Two, Kidman went uncredited.

Then there's The Golden Compass, an epic fantasy adventure based on Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials. This movie was firmly intended to be a franchise-starter, but when it didn't perform as well as expected, the sequels didn't go ahead.

All this bad luck aside, it's only a matter of time before Kidman gets to reprise one of her movie roles. Aquaman 2 is currently in development, and given the way the first movie ends, it would be a shock if Kidman's character, Queen Atlanna, wasn't involved in some capacity.
