Plot: Set in feudal Japan this sword and sorcery tale follows Jubei, a wandering sword-for-hire with a dark past. After rescuing a beautiful female ninja from an attack he is drawn into a plot involving a mysterious plague, a gold mine which makes Fort Knox look like a five year olds piggy bank, a team of reincarnated dead ninja's called the Devils Of Kimon and a plot to overthrow the ruling clan and take over the country. Written and directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri this incredibly violent action thriller had multiple scenes cut upon its initial release but is available to view in all its R-rated glory following the release of a 10th anniversary special edition DVD in 2004. Now is the time to catch this classic film as reports suggest Hollywood has been circling this project for years.
