10 Awesome 80s Movies That Time Forgot

1. True Stories

True Stories is a unique film, directed by and starring Talking Heads front man David Byrne. At once a comedy, musical and art film, True Stories is based around a series of real stories from newspapers, primarily set to music by Talking Heads, along with other associated acts. Byrne is accompanied by a great cast, including an early film appearance from John Goodman, Spalding Gray and Swoosie Kurtz. The good-hearted movie continually breaks the fourth wall, has a great sense of humour, and is surprisingly touching at parts. Much like the films of Terry Gilliam, True Stories feels a bit directionless as times, but this perfectly suits the whimsical nature of the film, and Byrne's inimitable output in general. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhRgCsQf3CU Do you have any favourite 80s classics that no-one else seems to have heard of?
