7. Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween

The first Goosebumps movie was certainly better-than-expected, but this rushed-out sequel lacks even the basic charm of its predecessor, largely due to the absence of Jack Black (save for a five-minute cameo in the movie's third act).

A film that begins to slip from your mind before it's even finished, Goosebumps 2 over-indulges in teen melodrama while making audiences wait far too long for the thoroughly mediocre CGI shenanigans.

It's staggeringly obvious that Sony was desperate for an easy Q4 box office hit and couldn't bring themselves to wait for Black's availability to clear up.

The result is a franchise-derailingly bad effort that understandably bombed with audiences, killing the dubious cash cow outright.
