10 Awful Films American Horror Story Actors Want Us To Forget

1. Hush - Jessica Lange

The crowning gem of American Horror Story before she stepped away from the show for the fifth season (with Lady Gaga taking her place), two-time Oscar-winning cinema legend Jessica Lange is the most accomplished actor to be part of the AHS alumni.

In the anthology Lange has blown viewers away with her performances as Constance Langdon, Sister Jude, Fiona Goode, and Elsa Mars, with each performance being just as phenomenal as the last.

Outside of AHS her star-studded career has seen her take the spotlight in Hollywood classics The Postman Always Rings Twice, Blue Sky, King Kong, and Tootsie just to mention a few.

There’s plenty of reasons why Lange has acquired so much acclaim and adoration over her long career. However, none of this can be attributed to her role as conniving mother-in-law Martha in 1998 thriller Hush.

Currently sitting at a deplorable 12% on Rotten Tomatoes, Hush is in no way representative of Lange’s capabilities. Despite being recognised by some reviewers for her level-headed performance, the film was nevertheless ripped apart for its mind-numbing absurdity and its outright predictability.

A thriller in name only, Hush is one of Lange’s films that’s aptly been quietly forgotten.
